Synopsis

Social worker Tsai Jen-hsing tries to protect children in a residential care home, while care leaver Yang struggles to survive on society's margins. Through the intertwined lives of social workers, children, and young people leaving care, the film depicts trauma, loss, and the longing to be held by someone.

Aki Sound Notes

Nantou's beautiful scenery and clean ambience were a gift for location sound. The subject of social work and residential care also brought us into an unfamiliar world for the first time. When a story carries you somewhere new, the happiness of filmmaking can be that simple.
